My Weekend
My weekend started off really good. Mom and I took a super-long morning walk, then she gave me a bath. Really, honest, I didn't mind!! I like being in the bathtub.
Then, things got ugly when Mom got out the comb.
No, please not that!
You see, I don't mind getting a bath, but I HATE getting combed!! There's nothing worse in the entire world.
** feeling nausea**
My only option was to retreat to my hiding place behind CC-man's cage.
I'm safe here!
MOM!!! Teddy's hiding behind my cage!!
OK, CC-man got me busted so I got dragged out and combed. Mom had to wrestle with me to get my curls combed. It was a tough battle, but here I am combed (**ugh**)
** feeling defeated**
Mom felt bad for spoiling my weekend, so she made CC-man (traitor!) and me some hard-boiled eggs.

I put on my "sad serious" face to score some eggs. This was something T-man Angel taught me.

Here's how T-man showed me...

Mom gave me most of one egg. That pesky CC-man got his share too. He doesn't eat as much as me, and nibbles WAY too slowly and it makes me impatient because I want him to hurry up so I can get more. Mom holds the egg for that lazy bird so her hands are busy doing that instead of feeding me.

I usually doze off during brushing. My jie jie (older sister) Daisy was the same. Missy only uses the comb as a run-through to make sure she did a thorough brushing. If she did a good job, the comb will run through smoothly without getting caught in any matts.
That said, Teddy, you do look so much like T-man! And we agree with Huskee and Hershey, we still miss T-man and think of him. Same with my jie jie, Daisy.
hey Teddy, poor fella, getting all combed like that. mom tried using cream rinse on Baxter this time and his hair brushed out much easier! but if she tried to comb him, it would take 100 years. we tell her that curls are not meant to be combed! that's dog abuse! hee hee. why don't humans know these things?
the eggs look yummy. did CC-man get to crunch on the shells too? our birdies like crunchy egg shells.

Hi Teddy! I should add that when Missy brushes me, she does it sort of systematically. She starts by having me lie on my side. She then brushes out my tail, and then my hind legs and work her way up, parting and releasing my coat bit by bit, making sure that there are no matts (by testing with the comb) before releasing another tuff of fur. After I'm done on one side, she then flips me and work the other side, followed by my chest and front legs. After that's done, she gets me to stand on all fours and brushes my back, the back of my hind legs and finishes with my head and ears.
Let me know if your Mom's brushing makes you feel so relaxed you fall asleep too! *Snoresssss*
That comb thing does sort of look like a torture device. Sorry it ruined part of your weekend but the rest looked good, especially the eggs. YUM

Sorry to hear you don't like being combed. We only really like our backs combed. Forget the face or legs, heheheh. Good thing you got to have boiled eggs for a treat though. Those are yummy. We like Spring too, it's nice to be out on the decks. Have a great week!

I run when the comb appears too, Teddy, but mom eventually catches me and I have to give in! Moms can be so mean sometimes!
